Content Avalanche: The 7-Engine System
How we produce consistent, high-quality content across 4 platforms without burning out. The exact workflow from research to publish.
Most content creators have two problems:
- They can’t keep up with the volume
- When they try to scale, quality tanks
I had the same problem until I stopped treating content creation like writing and started treating it like manufacturing.
This is the 7-Engine System that powers content for 47+ businesses.
The Problem with “Just Post More”
You’ve heard the advice: “Post daily. Be consistent. Show up.”
Great advice. Terrible implementation.
Because here’s what actually happens:
- You write a LinkedIn post → 30 minutes
- You write a Twitter thread → 20 minutes
- You create an Instagram caption → 15 minutes
- You draft an email → 45 minutes
That’s 110 minutes for one round of content. Do that daily and you’ve just spent 13 hours a week writing social posts.
And you haven’t even touched:
- Blog posts
- Guides
- Case studies
- Video scripts
- Email sequences
Most people solve this by:
- Posting less (consistency dies)
- Hiring a team (expensive)
- Using generic AI (quality dies)
There’s a fourth option: Build a content engine.
The 7 Engines
Each engine is a specialized system that does one thing really well.
They work together like an assembly line. Raw ideas go in one end. Polished, platform-optimized content comes out the other.
Engine 1: Research & Signal Collection
This is where ideas come from.
What it does:
- Monitors industry conversations (Reddit, Twitter, forums, podcasts)
- Tracks what your audience actually asks about
- Captures what’s working for competitors
- Logs your own insights and observations
Tools:
- Feedly for industry news
- Tweetdeck/X lists for real-time signal
- Notion database for idea capture
- Google Alerts for keywords
Output: A constantly updated idea bank that never runs dry.
Engine 2: Distillation & Outlining
Raw ideas are messy. This engine makes them usable.
What it does:
- Takes signals from Engine 1
- Extracts the core insight
- Builds a rough outline
- Tags by topic and platform fit
Tools:
- Claude or GPT for first-pass structuring
- Custom prompts that maintain your voice
- Notion for outline storage
Output: Structured outlines ready for writing.
Engine 3: Draft Creation
This is where AI does the heavy lifting.
What it does:
- Takes outlines from Engine 2
- Generates first drafts using your voice
- Maintains brand tone and style
- Produces platform-native formats
Tools:
- Claude with custom system prompts
- Brand voice guidelines document
- Platform-specific templates
Output: 80% finished drafts that need human polish, not full rewrites.
Engine 4: Editing & Voice Layer
AI can write. It can’t sound like you.
What it does:
- Adds personality and edge
- Injects specific examples
- Cuts corporate fluff
- Makes it feel human
This is the only step that MUST be manual. Everything else can be automated.
Output: Content that sounds like you wrote it (because you did — AI just did the scaffolding).
Engine 5: Platform Optimization
Same idea, different execution for each platform.
What it does:
- Formats for LinkedIn (paragraphs, professional tone)
- Adapts for X/Twitter (punchy, thread-friendly)
- Reshapes for newsletters (deeper, more narrative)
- Repackages for Instagram (visual-first, caption-friendly)
Tools:
- Notion for content database
- Typefully for X scheduling
- Buffer or Hootsuite for multi-platform
- Custom automation scripts
Output: One piece of research → 4-7 pieces of platform-optimized content.
Engine 6: Scheduling & Distribution
Content doesn’t work if nobody sees it.
What it does:
- Schedules posts at optimal times
- Staggers content across platforms
- Automates cross-posting where appropriate
- Tracks what’s live and what’s in queue
Tools:
- Typefully for X
- LinkedIn native scheduler
- Loops for email
- n8n for automation
Output: Set-it-and-forget-it publishing that runs on autopilot.
Engine 7: Performance Tracking & Feedback Loop
What gets measured gets improved.
What it does:
- Tracks engagement by platform
- Identifies top performers
- Logs what topics resonate
- Feeds winning patterns back to Engine 1
Tools:
- Platform native analytics
- Notion dashboard
- Weekly review ritual
Output: Data-driven decisions about what to create next.
The Full Workflow
Here’s how it all connects:
- Monday: Engine 1 pulls 10-15 signals from the week
- Tuesday: Engine 2 distills them into 5 outlines
- Wednesday: Engine 3 drafts all 5 pieces
- Thursday: Engine 4 edits and adds voice (this is where I spend my time)
- Friday: Engine 5 adapts for platforms
- Weekend: Engine 6 schedules for the following week
- Weekly review: Engine 7 analyzes performance
Total active time: ~6 hours/week for 20-25 pieces of content.
Before this system? 20+ hours/week for 5-7 pieces.
Why This Works
1. Specialization Each engine does one thing. No context switching. No “creative paralysis.”
2. Leverage AI handles the mechanical work. You handle the judgment and personality.
3. Consistency The system runs whether you feel inspired or not.
4. Compound Effect Every piece feeds the next. Research becomes content. Content becomes performance data. Performance data becomes better research.
What You Don’t Need
You don’t need:
- A content team
- Expensive tools
- Perfect execution on day one
- To automate everything immediately
Start with one engine. Get it working. Add the next.
Most people try to build all seven at once and quit in week two.
The Philosophy
Content isn’t art. It’s infrastructure.
You wouldn’t hand-write invoices or manually track inventory. So why are you hand-crafting every social post from scratch?
Build the system once. Let it compound.
Your job isn’t to write more. It’s to think more — and let the engines handle the production.
The Results
Since implementing this system:
- Output: 4x increase in content volume
- Quality: Engagement rates up 2.3x
- Time: 65% reduction in hours spent
- Consistency: Zero missed posting days in 6 months
This isn’t theory. It’s what actually works when you stop treating content like a creative exercise and start treating it like a manufacturing process.
What’s Next
I’ll be sharing:
- The exact prompts we use for each engine
- How to adapt this for your niche
- The automation workflows in n8n
- Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)
If you’re tired of the content treadmill, this is the way off.
Build the system. Let it run. Focus on the work that actually matters.
